Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA)

At the Journal of Communication and Management is an international peer-reviewed journal running under the umbrella of Jaipur Research and Educational Society (JRES), we recognize the vital importance of advancing research through open, rigorous, and ethical practices. We are proud to endorse the Declaration on Research Assessment (DORA), a global initiative aimed at improving the ways in which research outputs are evaluated.

We firmly believe that research should be assessed on the quality and impact of the work itself, rather than relying on narrowly defined metrics such as journal impact factors or other simplistic measures. DORA promotes fairer and more holistic approaches to evaluating research, fostering a more inclusive and diverse research community.

By endorsing DORA, we commit to:
•  Valuing all forms of research output, including data, software, and other products that contribute to knowledge creation.
•  Recognizing the broader impact of research, including societal, environmental, and cultural contributions.
•  Supporting a culture of collaboration, interdisciplinary research, and reproducibility.
•  Ensuring transparency and fairness in research assessment, both for individual researchers and institutions.

We believe that by adhering to DORA’s principles, we can contribute to a more equitable and productive academic environment. Our endorsement of DORA is a step toward ensuring that the value of research is recognized in a meaningful and impactful way, paving the way for innovation, collaboration, and social good.
