Abstract

The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in media and TV news is increasing day by day. The emergence of AI news anchors for TV news clearly poses a challenge or rather a threat to traditional human employment in news. News GPT, as the leading AI-driven news channel, signals a shift towards automated content production and this gives rise to concerns of job losses for traditional media professionals. These trends are not limited to one region; Countries like China, Kuwait and Russia have also introduced AI, signaling the beginning of global change in media production. While this is touted as a revolutionary advancement, the lack of inclusivity and diversity in these AI anchors neither raises questions about their global authenticity but rather reinforces existing prejudices in presentation. AI technology is reshaping the media world globally, but amid all this, there remains a situation of uncertainty as to what extent this technology will maintain the inclusivity and global integrity of AI news anchors.
